Part II: Writing and Submitting Your Manuscript

Help is on Campus

University of Colorado Writing Centers

Each campus of the University of Colorado has a writing center available to students and faculty. Boulder has a Writing Center located in the Norlin Library. You can make an appointment to discuss your writing concerns with a consultant who is professionally trained to teach collegiate writing. This service is free and available to all CU-Boulder students and faculty.

The Colorado Springs campus Writing Center, has peer consultants available to provide "individualized assistance with writing across the curriculum." Likewise, the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center Writing Center, offers writing assistance to students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the UCDHSC academic community.

Don’t hesitate to use these valuable writing resources that are available to you for free!

What are the most common errors you see in manuscripts?

Spelling and grammar!!! I see many manuscripts from non-English speakers which could really use an editor who is a native English speaker.
